Vancouver Island Culinary Immersion

Vancouver Island Culinary Immersion

Enjoy a Vancouver Island culinary immersion of farm to table food and wine.  Only 45 minutes from Victoria, British Columbia along an exquisite scenic route, is Cowichan Valley: a beautiful green land of wine, honey and lavender where a true Vancouver Island culinary immersion can be savoured on this tour.  Cowichan means ‘warm land’ in the First Nation Salish tongue and is indeed in a region considered to be the warmest in Canada. On your overall private tour of Vancouver Island culinary immersion into the valley of Cowichan, you will experience unparalleled scenery, delicious farm to table food and award winning wine tasting. Your private tour from Victoria, BC, will take you up and over the Malahat for a stop at a spectacular view point of Brentwood Bay and the Saanich Peninsula. You will venture into the lush valley of Cowichan with its picturesque farms, vineyards, and fields of orchards. Artisanal winemaking, farm fresh produce, bistros and wine tasting rooms characterize this beautiful region on Vancouver Island. A country road will lead you past a vineyard that is nestled within an ancient walnut and apple orchard. Choose to eat or taste wine in a cozy 1900’s restored farm house overlooking acres of grapevines and an herb and vegetable garden. Here on Vancouver Island near Victoria, B.C. you will encounter a variety of award winning vineyards and bistros where we may stop to indulge in sumptuous food. Restaurants in this coastal region serve BC inspired cuisine showcasing fresh local ingredients.
After lunch you’ll explore Cowichan Bay with your private, knowledgeable guide for a visit to a quaint bakery and cheese store, or have the option of visiting another vineyard. This food tour is our featured summer tour for individuals and up to groups of 16 people.
